In 2021, Aiwtec was involved in the French “icing roadmap” alongside the DGA and ONERA. This means taking part in a national strategic program aimed at better understanding, modelling, and controlling icing phenomena in the aeronautics sector—an issue that is critical for flight safety and aircraft certification. In short, Aiwtec contributes, together with the DGA and ONERA, to defining, researching, and developing the technologies and scientific models needed to predict, test, and certify aircraft behavior in icing conditions. This involvement means participating in a national strategy, contributing to scientific and technological research, collaborating with key stakeholders, and supporting French technological sovereignty.
